Even though not every abdominal pain is life-threatening, it means that something isn’t right in your body. Depending on the type of pain and precise location, there are several conditions that you may be suffering from like gallstones, stomach ulcers, pancreatitis, kidney stones, constipation, etc.

If you’ve been feeling cramps or abdominal pain, you should think about the potential triggers of the pain. It may be something you’ve eaten which causes intestinal swelling or inflammation or the pain may be a consequence of excessive intake of alcohol. Sometimes, abdominal pain can be a sign of allergies or a virus. Foods rich in fat can also irritate the stomach and lead to cramps and pain.

Other symptoms besides the pain and cramps are heartburn, gas, nausea, vomiting, chills, belching, and increased number of bowel movements.
