Chocolate Cupcake Brownies

Ingredients

  1. 34 cup all-purpose flour
  2. 12 cup brown sugar, plus
  3. 1 tbsp brown sugar, firmly packed
  4. 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  5. 12 tsp baking soda
  6. 14 tsp salt
  7. 12 cup water
  8. 14 cup unsweetened applesauce
  9. 12 tsp cider vinegar
  10. 1 12 tsp margarine, melted
  11. 12 tsp vanilla extract
Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a bowl, stir together flour, brown sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
  3. In a second bowl stir together remaining ingredients.
  4. Pour water mixture over flour mixture and,.
  5. Stir until batter is smooth.
  6. Pour into a nonstick 12 hole muffin tin coated with cooking spray.
  7. Filling until half full.
  8. Bake until toothpick inserted in center of cupcake comes out clean, 18 to 20 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven.
  10. Let stand 5 minutes then turn out onto rack to cool.
