A Texas family is thanking God after their daughter’s rare and inoperable brain tumor disappeared for reasons doctors are unable to explain.
As per reports, 11-year-old Roxli Doss, of Hays County, Texas, was diagnosed last June with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) after suffering from symptoms including headaches, nausea, and double vision.
The Boston’s Children Hospital website describes DIPG as a highly-aggressive and difficult-to-treat tumor located at the base of the brain. Needless to say, Roxli’s outlook was bleak.

Roxli’s father, Scott Doss, explained: “It was the worst news we could have had.
“At Dell Children’s, Texas Children’s, at Dana-Farber, at John Hopkins, and MD Anderson, all agreed it was DIPG.”
Moreover, Dr. Virginia Harrod, one of Roxli’s doctors at Dell Children’s Medical Center, agreed that his patient’s disease was extremely rare.
“It is a devastating disease. You have decreased ability to swallow, sometimes vision loss, decreased ability to talk, eventually difficulty with breathing.”
After 2+ months of fervent and faithful prayers for healing from this community and across the country, GOD HAS ANSWERED…

“We don’t have a cure. This is considered a terminal diagnosis.”
Even so, Roxli underwent 11 weeks of radiation therapy to fight the tumor, while her family established a GoFundMe Page to help cover the costs of the medical bills.
After doing so, there was little her loved ones could do but turn to God. They knew there was a chance they could lose their daughter to cancer, so Scott and his wife Gena implored the big man upstairs to help.
Beads of Courage…. Rox was excited today to get to pick all her beads!!!Each represents something different… radiation, mri, blood draws, hospital stays, etc…. Her story is good, God is good!!!

“The doctors guide us, but really the true guidance that we’re looking for is from God because that’s who we need our help from right now, and we’re really just praying for a miracle,” said Scott.
What happened next has left doctors stumped. An MRI scan in September revealed that Roxli was cancer-free, with the tumor having completely vanished.
“When I first saw Roxli’s MRI scan, it was actually unbelievable. The tumor is undetectable on the MRI scan, which is really unusual,” Dr. Harrod confirmed.

Roxli’s parents are convinced that God had a helping hand in ridding their daughter of this terrible disease.
They wrote on CaringBridge.org: “A Miracle!! We all walked out in shock even though we had been begging, praying, asking and believing. Thank you Jesus just wasn’t enough to say.”
“God is using precious Roxli as a vessel for His mighty power! REVIVAL is springing up in hearts everywhere!” Gena Doss wrote on social media.

Roxli is now undergoing precautionary treatments such as immunotherapy – a treatment tailored to help the body fight cancer – to ensure all cancer cells are eradicated from her brain.
In a statement to Global News, Dr. Harrod said: “We are cautiously optimistic and will continue to monitor her on a regular basis along with the joy of celebrating in her recovery.”
What wonderful news! Little Roxli has defied the odds and we couldn’t be happier!
